Washing Delicates
Like all clothing. After first buying a bra it should be washed it. You never know who tried it on before you.
They say you should wash your bra after each use. Because the chemicals from you body discoloring the bra and causes straps and bands to lose their elasticity. Frequent machine washing and machine drying does this also. Which compromises the comfort and fit of a bra. An everyday bra should last six months to a year and a less frequently used bra should last longer, two to three years. Have several everyday bras to rotate, if not, it will feel like you are constantly have to buy a new bra.
If the bra is not fitting well anymore, for instance it starts to ride up in back, wrinkles in cup or slips off the shoulder. If your body has not changed in size. The it is signs of irreparable stretching and fabric weakening. Which means THROUGH THE BRA AWAY.


These instructions is mainly to prolong the life of your bras but is also good for your delicates:

  1. Attach hooks and eyes to avoid tangling.
  2. Washing in cold or cool water.
    1. Best when done by hand.
    2. If you wash by machine.
      1. In like colors and weight.
      2. Use a protective lingerie bag. The bag may NOT save under-wire.
      3. On gentle cycle.
  3. Chemicals
    1. Use a delicate detergent.
      1. Woolite or borax works well for hand washing, otherwise use laundry detergent designed for cold water
    2. Never use soap or bleach.
    3. Fabric softener is recommend.
  4. Rinse bras thoroughly, as detergent residue can cause irritation.
  5. Reshape the bra if it has foam or batting in the cups. Before drying.
  6. Drying:
    1. Best way is to air drying laying flat. To do this:
      1. Roll the bra up in a towel and squeezing the excess water out.
      2. Then lay the bra flat with cups up on a dry towel. Best rest put balled up sucks under the cubs. This helps in drying and keeping the form.
      3. NEVER machine dry HOT.
      4. Tumble dry or drip dry to preserve elasticity.
      5. Do not line dry, as the sun can yellow many synthetic fabrics.
